Day 303: 98 of 99

29 Oct

98 of 99

Today’s square: 98 of 99
Size: 6 inch
Pattern By: Carole Prior
Hook: H
Yarn: RHSS shocking pink, buff fleck, eggnog.
Pattern from: Ravelry

Notes: Back to the 99 Granny Squares to Crochet book! This one has a lot of neat visual interest. It came out at about 5 inches as written. I added a round of DC and one of SC to make it 6 inches.

I’m curious, what are you doing with all your wonderful squares. I apologize if you’ve told already, just direct me to the post.
What yarn are you using, it works up so lovely?
    Keep up the great work.
    🙂

I’m not sure I’ve mentioned their fate or not (even I can’t keep up with me…). I donate them to a couple of places that use them to make blankets for shelters and hospitals and the like. I came to terms long ago with the fact that I like making squares but I don’t care for joining them together at all! So off they go to make good use of themselves. I mainly use Red Heart Super Saver yarn (which I’ve taken to abbreviating as RHSS in the notes section). It’s acrylic, which most of the donation places ask for due to it’s washability. I use some yarns I don’t know what are since I tend to buy box lots from Ebay. But it’s all acrylic. Usually all worsted weight, though sometimes I use some thinner stuff.
