Two Multicolored Grannies

05 Feb

Jacket Granny Squares

Today’s square: Multicolored Grannies
Size: 7.5 inch
Pattern By: Maggie Weldon
Hook: H
Yarn: Worsted weight acrylics in all kinds o’ color
Pattern from: Ravelry

Notes: This is the first two grannies of my Hooded Jacket project. They’re just traditional granny squares with no chain spaces on the sides and only one chain in the corners. The end weaving is going to be a lot. But I think it’ll look very retro with all the colors.

I really do love traditional, multi-colored grannies!

I do too, really. I originally had thought to substitute a different kind of square but I like the retro feel traditional grannies have. Plus they’re kind of soothing to make. No fancy stitches. Just crochet crochet crochet.
