I have a fondness for making little crochet flowers. I sometimes come up with my own designs but I have a list of books I’d like to have that have patterns for all sorts of flowers and leaves. I got “Crochet Bouquet” by Suzann Thompson on sale at Amazon recently. It’s filled with patterns for all kinds of flowers, leaves and greenery. In addition, it has several projects you can make with your crocheted flora like embellishing jeans and shower curtains and making cards. There were quite a lot of flowers and leaves that I liked, but several of them were too dimensional for my taste. I’m a flat crochet person. But that’s just me. The dimensional flowers included in the book would be great for making brooches, hair ornaments, gift decorations or other things where the flower wouldn’t get a lot of wear and tear. A nice thing about the book is that some of the patterns show various sizes of the same design so you can make a variety if you like. I like this book most for the variety of leaf patterns presented. It’s a good reference for your library if you like making embellishments.
