It’s a Hood

24 Feb

granny square hood

I got the hood made for my jacket. I’m glad I decided to go ahead and stick with the larger size squares for the hood. It seems to fit fine as it is. There will be another few rounds of edging added to it but still I think the size will be all right for me.

In the pattern picture it shows that the hood hangs with a point when you’re not wearing it so I decided to add a tassel just because. It’s made with left over ends from the squares! I’m kind of happy with my scrappy tassel. Next I’m onto constructing the body of the jacket.

Thanks! I was a little skeptical about the hood construction at first but it came out all right.

Ha!!! We’ll see how that works. I don’t have a full length mirror to take a picture in. πŸ˜€ I was just thinking last night I should get a Mr. Potato Head set and jazz up my styrofoam head for when I take hat pictures!
