10 Petal Afghan Square

03 Mar

10 Petal Afghan SquareToday’s square: 10 Petal Afghan Square
Size: 8 inch
Pattern By: Joyce Lewis
Hook: H
Yarn: TLC Heathers lilac; mystery yarn pink, off white.
Pattern from: Ravelry

Notes: The actual name of this pattern is “Simple 10-Petal Afghan Square” but I’d put it a little more complex than “simple”. The square is very pretty but a few of the techniques were awkward for me to do. The last round of dimensional crochet in the center took me more than an hour to do just that round. If I made it again, I’d leave that round off. I think it looks pretty without it.

Oh my goodness, that must’ve took you a long while to make, it looks hard. Beautiful. 🙂

Actually, the only hard part is the last round where you’re adding that dimensional part under the petals. The rest of the square is actually pretty simple. The round where you tack down the petals is a little tricky/awkward to do but otherwise easy.
