Pink, white and gray

Pink white 14

Another pink and white one for the bedspread. It took me several days to get through this one. I’m trying to adjust my left hand hold on work but so far it’s slow going. I think I’m going to try a thumb stabilizer next. I REFUSE to give up my crochet!

You must be close to finishing these, it didn’t seem like you had many more to complete. What happened to your hand? I must have missed that, you okay?

At the first of the month I did this block that had a lot of puff stitches and my thumb rebelled. Now when I crochet my left thumb will get this weird pain. If I can keep it straight or bent toward my hand it’s fine, but if I bend it back, which is my natural inclination it sends that pain up my hand and arm. 😮 It happens even if I go to pick up something with my thumb and forefinger of the left hand. It’s very odd. I’m thinking a thumb stabilizer brace will do the trick and train me not to bend my thumb back.

I think I am close to finishing. I need to count again. I think this week I will actually begin to join these and see how they are looking. It’s dropping in temperature here in the evenings so I need to get going!

Sounds unpleasant, I get that in my right thumb from time to time. Mine is from tensing my hand for prolonged periods of time. I find if I switch between crochet and knitting, it keeps me from abusing the same muscles over and over. Sometimes though, I have to take a break, apply tiger balm, and give my hands a rest. Avoid the evil puff stitches! Hope you heal up soon!

Thanks! Yeah, it’s kind of odd that it’s my left thumb, but that’s the hand I grip the work and tension with so I guess I just tensed to much!

Yes, how many do you have now? Or are you just photographing the same four over and over?

Heh!!! Maybe there can be only one! 😀 I need to count. I think I’ll drag them out tomorrow and take a photo of them all at once. It’s therapy day so I probably won’t get much else done!
