The Poncho Color Scheme

Poncho Colors

Another two poncho squares, showing the second color I planned on using. They don’t match as well as I thought they did from just looking at the skeins. But I can live with it. It’s supposed to be wild and crazy anyway!

I’m planning on alternating the colors. If I have to go to a third color to finish out the squares, I will throw those in at random. I haven’t yet decided if I’m going to put fringe on it but ponchos really cry out for fringe, don’t they.

Ponchos love fringe. They also love those bobbly things that Mexican chaps run round the edges of their sombreros. You could do a fancy crochet bobble edging, or a corkscrew? 🙂

A corkscrew for sure isn’t happening. 😀 I’m liking the bobble edge idea. I may break out my fancy border books and think of something spectacular!!!

Ya, I agree re the corkscrews. I tried it once, made me insane in minutes.
