The Yarn is a Story

08 Nov

Yarn StorySometimes a Listia adventure brings me a yarn offering that seems to have a backstory–like this one. Two wonderful full skeins of TLC yarn which I love but is usually out of my budget. Included was a little half-finished hat, still attached to the skien. And the hook. Is this a sad story? A story of frustration? Of disappointment? Was the hat meant for someone special and the special went away? Or was it just disenchantment with the whole crochet thing?

Or maybe, just maybe, I over think my yarnโ€ฆ

Or how about, it’s a happy story?! The crocheter was happily making a hat for herself when a handsome stranger came galloping past, swept her off her feet and said, Drop the hat, kitten, you won’t have time for that kind of thing where I’m taking you….

Actually I’d rather be meditating on my yarn than swept off my feet by a handsome stranger who thinks I would be better off doing something else! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I love yarn!!!!

Maybe a little sweeping off the feet for awhile then back to the yarn. ๐Ÿ˜€

You could always knit/crochet said stranger a sweater or teach him/her to crochet! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Just as a humorous (hopefully) note, Jill, your comment was #666 on the blog.

I do the same thing. Did the person who was making this set this project aside and forget about it? Did that person pass, and now the intended recipient has no idea that something was being lovingly made just for them?
