True to Form

Painted Desert Poncho

Well, true to form I’ve started yet ANOTHER project. I’m good at starting. Finishing not so much. I was given the pattern for the Painted Desert Poncho for Christmas. The pattern is by Joy Prescott. I figure it’s always good to have more than one poncho. And since this one is just six large granny squares, I think I can finish it before summer. Looks very retro!! I’m going with a variegated yarn. I hope I have enough of one color to do all six. But if not, I can always do the two squares at the bottom in a different color.

i don’t blame you for starting this one before finishing the other seven… it’s gorgeous. Do you know, in all the time I’ve crocheted and knitted and sewed and surrounded myself with wool and yarn etc etc, I’VE NEVER HAD A PONCHO. I love the retro look, and I’m thinking….hmmm, winter starts here in about May or June… 🙂

I’ve never had a poncho either!!! And I’ve wanted one for so long. I might finish one of mine by May or June….

I have to make a conscious effort to finish anything…unless I am making it for someone else!!! But this poncho is a must. It would be perfect for our cold winters here in Egypt!

Let me know what you think!
