If you’re a regular reader you’ll know that when I go out to do errands, I tend to run into the wacky subset of the population. This trip was no different. I thought it was going to be a fairly benign trip. The store was mostly empty and I got my shopping done in a speedy manner. I was ending the trip in the soup aisle. I had just picked up four cans of soup when I was vaguely aware that someone had entered that aisle. Suddenly someone says “HELL YEAH!!!” rather loudly. I look up and see a young girl in sweats an a hoodie eying my soup cans. I hastily dropped them in my cart and she swoops in, loading her arms up with soup “Yes! Soup!!! It’s cold and this is just the thing! Thanks!” She hurries away, leaning backwards slightly so that her armload of assorted soup cans wouldn’t escape.

Yeah that is what I was thinking too! I wish I got that excited over soup. I guess can soup is better than Ramen at least.
