Big poncho 6

I have completed the last of the six squares. But now I’m worried they still aren’t big enough! Either the pattern was designed for a very small person (despite saying one size fits all) or I’m kinda bigger than I think. :O It’s going to be much shorter than I’d envisioned so I may have to add quite a few colorful rounds along the bottom to make it longer. Oh well. It’s a learning experience I suppose!

I saw a 6-square poncho the other day somewhere on facebook, where they’d added a wide crochet band round the bottom to lengthen it, plus a collar. The collar wasn’t great, but the band might work for you? I’ve just spent 30 mins trawling through my home page trying to find the photo….didn’t happen. I think your squares are lovely. πŸ™‚

I think I’ll probably be going with the band. I think the fringe on the original pattern was kind of making my mind think it was longer than it was. The thing also connects at the shoulders. I’m thinking I could add a strip in at the shoulders, too. It might be a jaunty look to have an extra row of color there.

I’ve joined two squares and am starting on the third. It will be at least joined by Sunday! πŸ˜€
