Tiny Treat Bowl

tiny pumpkin bowlToday’s Project: Crochet Pumpkin Treat Bowl
Size: 3 x 3
Pattern By: Meredith Crawford
Hook: H
Yarn: RHSS in pumpkin, hunter green
Pattern from: Ravelry

Notes: This cute little bowl was the October CAL in the Red Heart Group on Ravelry. It only took a couple of hours to make (at a leisurely pace, probably the only pace I have these days). It’s very tiny so it wouldn’t hold many treats but I think it’d be great filled with Hershey’s Kisses. I modified the lid just a tad by adding one extra decrease round, and one extra finishing round. For the stem I just did two rows of SC and attached it in some odd, convoluted manner that seemed like a good idea at the time.

Pretty Pretty Tasty

Yarn with Candy

I got a nice gift all the way from Ireland today!! The yarn is Stylecraft Special which I’d never seen before. It’s in Lemon and Meadow. A bit thinner than worsted weight and I’ve decided it will work perfectly in the Dulcie Sweater that I’ve started.

Also in the package was a bag of Malteasers! I love these things. Here in the US we have Malted Milk Balls which are about the same thing, but Malteasers are so much better! They’re lighter and crisper inside and we won’t even get started on the difference in milk chocolate. We have a few stores here that carry UK/European candy but I can’t get them to carry Malteasers.

Pretty and Tasty, Too.

Jelly Belly jelly beans

For my upcoming birthday my cousin sent me this tin of Jelly Belly jelly beans. Not only are they tasty, but they’re pretty to look at, too. But not so pretty as to stop me from eating big helpings of them…
