Notes: Pattern comes out at 5 inches as written. I changed round 6 to DC all around and DC, CH2, DC in the corners. This made it 5.5 inches. This needs a lot of counting. I managed to get my count off by one stitch on one side so I fudged a little. This is from the 99 Granny Squares to Crochet book.

Notes: This was the December filler square in the 2013BAMCAL on Ravelry. Fairly simple to make, though I think the last round of CH5 spaces could be changed to CH4 and the corner CH10 changed to CH9 or 8. I tend to make smaller squares so these big ones seem like giants when I finish them.

Notes: This is a quick and easy little square. I added a round of SC to make it 6 inches. My picture color is off–red always does that to me. This is the December 6 inch square in the 2013 BAMCAL on Ravelry.

Notes: I did this pattern two years ago for a previous BAMCAL about 2 years ago. It so happens that first square was the first time I’d ever done front post stitches! Amazing what a difference 2 years makes. On this version I added a squaring up round: (2DC, CH2, 2DC) in the corners, and 1DC, 4HC, 8SC, 4HC, 1DC between the corners. November 6 inch square in the 2013 BAMCAL.

Notes: This pattern is kind of cool looking but much too fiddly for my taste. Once you’ve joined up the four center motifs, then you have to do a lot of sewing: the center of the petals and then tacking the petals down. I didn’t tack the petals down. By the time I finished the square I was over the whole sewing thing. I left off the last round to keep it at ten inches. This is the November filler square in the 2013 BAMCAL group on Ravelry.

Notes: The ruffles on this thing are really tedious and hard on the hands. But they kinda look nice once they’re done. I didn’t think they would. This is from the book “50 Fabulous Crochet Squares”.
Here’s the last large pink and white granny squares. Now I have all my squares and I must join them. That’s the most difficult part of any project for me. It’s not like the joining is difficult, it’s the motivation.
